1. tambay I (Feliz Macahis)
I would like to convey a perspective of a word which usually has a negative connotation in my language, “tambay.” This may mean a worthless person, a bystander, jobless, alcoholic. A series of small situations will be created where someone from the listeners may sit across me and interact over a period of time.
2. All are around you (Hui Ye)
Live generated 4-channel compositon
For her live sound performances Ye concentrates on computer-generated sounds and noises which are organized and built by mathematical odds or failures in programming. These will be triggered erratically and subsequently assigned to different audio channels to the form an impulsive, spatial soundscape.
Feliz Anne Reyes Macahis (1987 in Rizal auf den Philippinen geboren) studierte Komposition bei Jonas Baes, Kamran Ince, Oliver Schneller, Joachim Heintz und Beat Furrer. Nach einem Jahr des postgradualen Studiums begann sie im Oktober 2018 mit dem künstlerischen Doktorantenstudium (Dr. Artium) an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz mit dem Thema “Philippine epic singing in the context of contemporary music from an academic and artistic perspective.” 2016 erhielt sie ein Kompositionsstipendium in Niedersachsen, was ihr auch die Möglichkeit eröffnete, eine Künstlerresidenz in den Martin-Kausche-Ateliers, Künstlerhäuser Worpswede, anzutreten. Aktuelle Auszeichnungen beinhalten einen 2. Preis beim {Raum::Klang} Wettbewerb Interaktive Klänge für 3D-Labor by I2audiolab und einen Auftrag, als Gewinnerin beim Internationalen Kompositionswettbewerb NEUE SZENEN IV der Deutschen Oper Berlin eine 30-minütige Oper zu schreiben. Feliz Anne Reyes Macahis wurde im Frühjahr auch vom Styria-Artist-in-Residence-Programm in Graz unterstützt wie auch von der l’Association des Amis de Royaumont für ihre Teilnahme an Royaumont l’Académie Voix Nouvelles. Derzeit ist sie Composer-in-Residence des BKA und von KulturKontakt Austria.

Hui Ye was born in Canton, China. She is media and sound artist based in Vienna.
Her artistic works span videos, sound and video installations, music compositions and sound performances. Having an artistic background as visual and sound producer, exploring the relationship between sound and moving image, along with experimenting with how these time-based media can be transformed in new and challenging ways, is one the main concern of her work.
As a chinese artist based in Vienna/Europe since years, Hui Yeobserves and understand her personal experience and let it influence her artistic work.The question how social identity is shaped in different cultural and political contexts is another vital issue of her artistic research.
She is the laureate of several scholarschips and prizes, among others the Staatsstipendium(State Scholarship) by the Federal Chancellery of Arts and Culture (BKA) Austria 2015 and Kunsthalle Wien Prize 2018.
