WALKING
Walking is a rhythmic relation of body and space – walking grooves!
“If every newborn baby has an appetite for forward motion, the next step is to find out why it hates lying still.” (Bruce Chatwin in “The Songlines”)
We are walkers exploring a distance with our means – video and music.
The video is observing movement and environment on a determined route in Vienna. Inspired by the video, we compose music related to that route.
Listeners will be able to download the music in order to follow the way while listening – just like a soundtrack for daily life, completed by the urban soundscapes…
This is the first stage of „Walking“, which will be continued in France and Turkey as a comparative artistic experiment.

“Manchmal meint es die Welt gut mit einem und drückt einem unverhofft ein Album in die Hand wie dieses: “Schmesiér”, das namenlose Debüt des gleichnamigen Musikers. Verantwortlich dafür ist Florian Schmeiser, der bislang vor allem in China als Musiker auftrat. Schmeiser alias Schmesiér deutet auf dem nur im Eigenverlag über http://www.schmesier.at erhältlichen Album nicht nur den Wolfgang-Ambros-Klassiker “Wintersun” zu einem auf Englisch gesungenen Rührstück zwischen Kammermusik, Elektronik und angetäuschtem Jazz, sondern kriecht auch bei den restlichen Stücken wie “Black Hole Sun” von Soundgarden oder “Every Breath You Take” von Police förmlich ins Mikro hinein. Ähnlich wie bei dem sich ebenfalls jenseits von Indie- und Mainstreamkriterien organisierenden Album “Bourgeois with a Guitar” von Kristof Schreuf findet sich auch hier nur ein einziges “Original”-Stück, doch dafür enthalten die “Cover”-Versionen mehr an störrischer Intimität zwischen Retroromantik, Avantgarde-Kürzeln und Pop-Dekonstruktion als deine nächste und übernächste Amazon-Kaufempfehlung zusammen. SCHMESIER is an electronic pop-performance, a onemanshow with dark songs from the past up to today. The sound is electronic popmusic combined with classical and experimental elements. European classical music from the 16th century up to todays jazz and popmusic is being adapted and newly arranged, ancient classical instruments meet abstract electronics. His voice, deep and low, sounds like “Leonard Cohen after voice break”. All songs are arranged, played, sung and produced by schmesier.
